Rafael Echeverria is an International Legal Counsel and Business Promoter, with a wide experience of over thirsty years in the fields of banking and finance, oil & gas, transference of technology, through his firm ECHEVERRIA & ASOCIADOS International Law Firm. Legal Consultant, Corporate Counsel and Executive Legal Officer in Law Firms and Private and Public Corporations in the areas of International Contracting and Business Relations, International Corporate Law, Sales and Negotiations, and related fields.

His professional services has benefited institutions and corporations in various parts of the world, particularly in the areas of North America, Latin America and The Caribbean, having served and handled interests as counselor in various countries in Europe, extending the benefits of his efforts to corporations located as far as China and Japan.


In the Academic Field, Rafael has been honoured to serve as Head Professor in International Private Law at Rafael Urdaneta Private Universy (School of Law), Head of the Academic Department of International Private Law (Conflicts of Laws), in the areas of investigation and research including the specialized fields Business Law, Trade and Negotiations. 


Rafael’s has acted in international forums and has represented various clients as contract negotiator with excellent results in the area of energy; speaker for the Venezuelan Delegation before the Latin-Finance New York Conference; speaker for the Venezuelan Delegation before the Chamber of Commerce, State of Louisiana; counsel for the Venezuelan Delegation before the International maritime Organization in London, United Kingdom; co-counsel for Latin-America for Kozyac-Tropin-Throckmorton Law Firm, of Coral Gables, Florida; and at present as general co-counsel for Latin-America for the Law Firm Carey Rodriguez Greenberg & Paul, in Miami, Florida.


Rafael holds the very particular honour of having been designated as Consular Agent for The United States of America in the City of Maracaibo (1985/86) by the State Department, Washington D.C., having actively participated and contributed to the bi-national relationships and cultural interchange in institutions such as The North-American Association N.A.A., as its Vice-President; President of the Asociacion de Graduados de Universidades Norteamericanas A.G.U.N., Member of the Board of Directors of Centro Venezolano-Americano del Zulia, having acted as its Treasurer.  


Rafael is a Citizen both of the United States of America and Venezuela, born in New York City. Specialised attorney in Comparative & Private International Law, International Mercantile & and Finance Law and International Contracting, with academic degrees from The Abbey School of Mount St. Benedict, Trinidad W.I. (G.C.E. Cambridge); Atlantic College, Glamorganshire, Wales, Great Britain (Comparative Law); University of Zulia, Venezuela (Attorney at Law), with a Masters Degree from the Institute of High Studies of Administration (IESA), Venezuela (Management).


Rafael is fluent in English and Spanish Languages, spoken and written, and handles the French and Italian Languages for conversation and comprehension purposes.
